Cat5/5e UTP/STP cables provide optimal performance; just make your

connections between the Gigabit Ethernet Desktop Switch and your

network devices. If a front-panel LED corresponding to any of the ve

or eight ports in use doesn’t indicate a link or activity, check the connected

device for proper setup and operation.

Plug the female end of the power adapter rmly into the receptacle on

the rear panel and the other end into an electrical outlet. Conrm that

the power LED is lit for a normal power status. NOTE: To ensure proper

operation, use only the power adapter included with the switch.

Prior to use, it is recommended that the device be placed/positioned:

• on a level surface that can support the weight of the switch (and any

other items that need to be considered);

• away from sources of electrical noise, such as transmitters, radios and

broadband ampliers;

• with a minimum of 25 mm of

clearance on the top and

sides for ventilation; and

• where it cannot be affected

by excessive moisture.
